Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG XQ – “Xi Qing”

First introduced back in 2007, the China-exclusive 1 XQ was one of the few special editions launched by Jordan Brand and Nike that year. A prelude for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, limited availability to 250 pairs only, which also made them most sought after Air Jordan for some time. In light of its “Ignite Shanghai” and “Nike Summer Nights” initiatives this summer, Jordan Brand will bring back this rare edition once again as Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG XQ – “Xi Qing”
Based the premise of “Xi Qing”, a condensed description in Chinese on “good fortune” and “happiness,” the 2013 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG XQ “Xi Qing” features finely embroidered details on tumbled leathers, along with brightly colored smooth leather and golden translucent outsoles. While the primary colorways are still white, black, and red from the original 1985 design, Jordan Brand designers also added plenty of yellow and gold, a color long associated with “luck” in Chinese culture.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG XQ “Xi Qing” for Summer 2013 will be available from July 26th to July 28th through select Jordan Brand retailers across China, flagship stores in Shanghai, and the new Experience Store on the historic Huaihai Road.
