I have a feeling she'll get in...
Essays and SAT scores are important, but Yara Shahidi has an extra something-something to help her college applications along. In a recent interview with W, Shahidi reveals that former FLOTUS, Michelle Obama wrote her a college recommendation and gave the Black-ish star words of encouragement before taking AP exams. YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY(!!!) She's living every high schooler's dream — but, we're sure her chances would've been just as high without the letter, considering the fact that she maintains a 4.6 grade point average.
"She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say," Shahidi said of Obama. The interview states that the 17-year-old is finished with college applications now, and she plans to double-major in African American studies and sociology after taking a well-deserved gap year like Malia Obama.
