Vivienne Westwood MAN – Fall/Winter Winter 2015 Collection | Runway Show
At the Milan runway show for her men’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection, iconic British designer Vivienne Westwood toyed with the notions of conventional masculinity, presenting knits with a flowing drape and cardigan sweaters cut with plunging necklines. She dressed women in men’s tailored suits and added flowered jacquard detailing to velvet-sleeved dinner jackets. Her homage to Prince Charles, on the other hand, was done in earnest. The 73-year-old plastered Charles’ visage on T-shirts, describing him as the “patron saint” of the collection. It’s no surprise, then, that Prince of Wales checks was a common sight throughout the presentation.
