Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Team” | Release Reminder

Since its launch at Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) last December, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite has become one the most talked about basketball sneaker in recent years. It evokes a “love it” or “hate it” response, generally because of its unconventional design. Unlike previous signature editions for Kobe Bryant, the Kobe 9 Elite features a high-cuff instead. It also takes on a “tube sock-like” appearance thanks to the Flyknit and Flywire upper. But like it or not, the revolutionary design, with its carbon fiber heel counter, Lunarlon insert and pressure mapped tread pattern are likely to stay for the long haul.

Part of the Nike Basketball Elite Team Series, the Nike Kobe 9 Elite “Team” will be available tomorrow at select Nike Basketball retailers, including Footaction branches nationwide.
