Created specifically for surfers and water sports enthusiasts, the G-LIDE watches from Casio G-Shock were the first few timepieces available at the time with full tide charts. Now with Summer 2014 just months away, G-Shock is expending the G-LIDE collection once again with the addition of GLX-5600 and GWX-8900 series. Based on two classic G-Shock models, the GLX-5600 features not just the tide chart but world time function with 48 cities or 29 time zones. The GWX-8900 goes a step further with the addition of MULTIBAND 6 radio-controlled time calibration, Tough Solar power cell and tidal information for 100 top surfing locations worldwide. Along with the new maharishi x Casio G-Shock GD-X6900MH Watch in “DPM: Lunar Bonsai” design, the GLX-5600 and GWX-8900 will be available across Japan later this month as part of April 2014 release from Casio G-Shock. The watches will also be available around the world at a later date.
