Pusha T Performs For NPR’s CMJ Showcase

Last two nights in New York City, Pusha T took to the stage for NPR Music‘s CMJ showcase, appearing as part of a highly eclectic bill that also featured Syrian musician Omar Souleyman and American indie pop band Cults. The former Clipse emcee, whose debut album My Name Is My Name opened this week at no. 2 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, favored material from his solo mixtapes and MNIMN, as well as his collaborations with Kanye West. The seventeen-song set at Le Poisson Rouge in New York’s Lower East Side lasted almost an entire hour, capturing a brief moment in the Virginia rapper’s ascendancy into hip-hop superstardom.
