Opening Ceremony To Open Pop-Up Market On Pier 57 During New York Fashion Week

In the true sense of the term “pop-up,” it took Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the enterprising founders of Opening Ceremony, just six weeks to finalize plans for Opening Ceremony By The Water (Opening Ceremony BTW), their pop-up marketplace right by New York City’s Hudson River. To take place with the Pier 57 complex, the temporary shopping destination will open its doors at the start of New York Fashion Week on Thursday, September 5th. Worked along side real estate developer Youngwoo & Associates, who’s in the process of turning the 61-year-old structure into a 425,000-square-foot mixed-use space, Opening Ceremony BTW will be featuring OC’s own collections, Rihanna for River Island, Estée Lauder salon with nail artist Naomi Yasuda, and a special DKNY for Opening Ceremony line. Since it’s a marketplace, there will be plenty stalls foodies love, from ASIADOG, Café Habana, Dominique Ansel Bakery, Spur Tree, to Takumi Tacos, La Sonrisa Empanadas, Cold Process Coffee, and more…
A destination for shopaholics, fashionistas, foodies, and every one in between, Opening Ceremony BTW will be open starting on Thursday, September 5th to Thursday, September 12th, from 11 am to 7 pm daily.
