Casio G-Shock GW-9400 RANGEMAN Watch – New Addition to Master of G Collection

FROGMAN, MUDMAN, GULFMAN, RISEMAN… Casio G-Shock’s quartet known as MASTER of G will be getting a new addition this year, in the form of the RANGEMAN. Officially known as the Casio G-Shock GW-9400 RANGEMAN watch, designers created the new timepiece with military personnel and first responders in mind.
“Rangeman embodies the same mentality as one who would go into battle. In many ways it is a salute to the first-response professionals and combatants that safeguard our lives.” – Shigenori Itoh, Chairman and CEO of ’s Timepiece Division
Thanks to recent advancements, Casio was able to produce even smaller electronic components, making the RANGEMAN one of the first to employ the new Shock Resistant Triple Sensor technology. With it, the watch can determine temperature, atmospheric pressure (accurate within 1 meter per second), along with the usual functions like 48-City World Time + UTC (universal coordinated time), 1000-hr stopwatch, 24-hr countdown timer, 12/24-hr time formats, and more… Again, because of the extreme condition users of RANGEMAN will be under, Casio made all of the real-time data points available through the watch’s one-touch direct sensor button. Constructed of metal, with an oversized, textured surface, the watch’s design ensures accessibility of information even with a gloved hand.
Rated to be waterproof under 200 meters (656 feet), the RANGEMAN employs Casio’s TOUGH SOLAR charging system and Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping that automatically adjust time/date through wireless signals from US Government’s Fort Collins, Colorado facility and 5 other transmission stations around the globe. To come in stealth black ( GW-9400-1 RANGEMAN) and army green ( GW-9400-3 RANGEMAN), the newest member to the MASTER of G Collection will be available starting November 2013.
