Miss Global Zimbabwe 2013 pageant: Venue and date alterations

The beauty pageant date was announced to be held in April, however after few months of delay because of in-house issues, the event announced new date of July 5.The annual tourism and charitable developmental beauty pageant Miss Global Zimbabwe organizers is trying to establishing this year edition. Pageant seriatim under the theme “Beauty, Tourism and Charity”, the pageant will see a pack of 15 beauties compete for the crown.
The beauty pageant’s president Tare Munzara established the developments, He stated that
“We have come up with a new date and venue for the second edition of Miss Global Zimbabwe and preparations are at an advanced stage as the finalists are already in camp,” Munzara added. “This year’s winner of the pageant will earn the right to participate in the Miss Global International in Jamaica, while the second best would take part in Miss International finals in Japan.” Moreover he said that this year, they had taken their time and put a lot of effort to produce a glamorous event.
“We did not manage to fulfill the vision that we had at the first pageant where we wanted it to be an all-red-carpet event, but we failed to do this. However, this time I promise it’s going to be a different story as we have started preparations earlier than we did previously,” he added.
“Tickets would be available nationwide selling at $20 for ordinary people, while VIP will be going for $50 with VVIP pegged at $100.
The first event of this pageant was held at last year at HICC that time that time organizers never fulfill the expectations. Previous pageant, models conveyed that during their camping period they were subjected to inhuman conditions.

Ex-crown holder is Harare-based Mutsa Mutare, for winning the title of this pageant,
Mutsa being represent her country she went in Jamaica for the world finals where she selected into top 15 out of 50 countries, while Mellisa Chaka, as Miss Heritage, moved to Johannesburg to battle it out for the global crown.
